Good morning bread friends!
Look at that. We made it to the start of August. These past two months sort of flew by didnβt they?!
Todayβs newsletter is just to say that I havenβt forgotten about you. At the start of the summer, I shared that I would be taking off from my weekly baking and weekly writing through June and July. I really appreciate the support and encouragement from all of you to take the time off that I needed. The plan was to rest up and also learn some new things about bread and pizza. I did not do as much bread experimentation as I expected, but I definitely had some great pizza adventures. Iβm looking forward to sharing some pizza stories in upcoming letters.
My day job has been remarkably busy this summer, so the summer has been funβ¦ but it wasnβt nearly as creative and restful as I dreamed.
All this to say, bread baking isnβt starting back this week. Iβm still working out what the bread schedule will be this fall. Naturally, you all will be the first to learn once I have a plan for my baking schedule.
Talk to you soon!
Cheers,
Mo
P.S. For those of you in Wisconsin, we are one week away from primary election day for the 2022 midterm election. Donβt forget to vote on Tuesday, August 9th. If you arenβt sure what is on the ballot, you can always check what is on the ballot at this website. One thing I can tell you for sure that will be on your ballot is my friend Mandela Barnes who is running for the US Senate. In this time where American society is so fractured, Iβm very thankful that good people still choose to run for public office. I hope youβll vote for Mandela to be the Democratic nominee to replace our current Senator.
Will definitely be voting, and for Mandela Barnes! Looking forward to pizza stories and bread whenever they make appearances.
