Gardening Weekend
Good morning bread friends,
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. My week has been pretty fantastic! One of the highlights of my week was getting to chaperon Cyrusβ second grade field trip to Olbrich Botanical Garden.
Weβre so fortunate to have this spectacular 16-acre outdoor botanical garden with a 10,000-square-foot conservatory right in our city! And to have it be accessible to all, and have classroom space for students is pretty wonderful.
For the past SEVERAL weeks, Iβve been enthusiastically daydreaming about getting started planting in our garden. But visiting this space was encouraging in all the right ways to actually get my hands in the dirt.
Today looks to be the last day of the year with overnight frost. This weekend instead of baking Iβm going to be doing garden prep, and (hopefully) getting a bunch of plants & seeds into the ground.
Sorry to say that there wonβt be bread this Saturday.
If you have any advice for a novice gardener (or plants youβd like to share)β¦ my replies are open :)
Cheers,
Mo
