Spring break mornings

Good morning bread friends,
Itβs spring break over here, so our mornings are a little more slow than usual. Today that means a shorter newsletter reminding you to order bread.
Yesterday, however that meant making homemade sourdough donuts for the family!
My kids do this thing where they pretend to faint when they eat something that their tastes buds deem amazing.
Yesterdayβs breakfast was definitely a fainting breakfast π
Making these donuts was an especially fun project because Melissa and I got to collaborate. I fed the starter, then she mixed the dough and did all the stretch and folds, and then I rolled it out and fried the dough.
Oh! And Hannah helped to roll the hot donuts in the cinnamon sugar, and then she volunteered to be the first taste tester π
Melissa and I were reminiscing on how the last time we made sourdough donuts was almost four years ago to the day. Time flies. Glad weβve still got it though.
